1. Our Founding Principle: Privacy by Architecture

At PanoRA, we believe that desktop productivity tools should never spy on their users. Unlike cloud-dependent screenshot tools, PanoRA is architected from the ground up as a 100% offline, local-first application.

Our Guarantee: Your captures, clipboard clips, recordings, annotations, OCR recognized text, and sticky notes are stored exclusively on your device's local drive. They are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party cloud.

2. Data Handled by the Desktop Application

When you run PanoRA on macOS or Windows:

Screenshots & Videos: Recorded in RAM and written directly to your chosen local folder or the app's local database (pano.json). No media files ever leave your machine.
OCR Text Recognition: Uses native on-device APIs (Apple Vision framework on macOS and native offline OCR on Windows). No text or optical data is uploaded over the internet.
Pano Drop (Local Sharing): Operates strictly over your local Wi-Fi / LAN via peer-to-peer WebRTC or direct LAN HTTP transport. No internet relay server inspects or retains your files.
Zero Telemetry: We do not bundle telemetry trackers, user analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel), crash monitors with personal data, or behavioral logs in our desktop software.

3. Data Handled by Our Website & Store

When you visit our public website (uplif.app) or purchase a lifetime license:

Zero Tracking Cookies: Our website does not set third-party tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies. Consequently, no annoying consent banners are required under GDPR / ePrivacy directives.
Payments & Merchant of Record: All checkout transactions and payments are securely handled by our licensed Merchant of Record partners (e.g., LemonSqueezy / Paddle / Stripe). PanoRA never collects, stores, or sees your credit card number or bank details.
License Keys & Activation: Your email address is used solely by the payment processor to deliver your receipt, license key, and software download links. Pro license validation is cryptographically verified on-device.

4. Your Rights Under GDPR, CCPA & Global Laws

Because we do not store your personal content or files on remote servers, we do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade any personal information. You retain 100% ownership and control over all data created with PanoRA.

5. Security of Local Storage
